Salmo Ski Hill: Know Before You Go

The Salmo Ski Hill’s top priority is maintaining the health and wellness of all our guests, staff and the entire community.

Do Not Come to the Salmo Ski Hill if:

  • You or a member of your household has a fever, sore throat, dry cough or showing symptoms of illness
  • You or a member of you household has traveled within or outside of Canada in the last 14 days
  • You have recently been in contact with any person diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19

Updates on the of the operations during the COVID 19 Pandemic will be posted on our website at www.skisalmo.com and on our Facebook page and Instagram account.

MASKS ARE MANDATORY

Masks will be mandatory in the lift lines, riding the lift, around the base area, within the lodge and rental shop. Social distancing of 2 meters will also need to be maintained in all areas other than riding the lift.

YOUR VEHICLE IS YOUR BASECAMP

Access to the lodge will not be available for getting dressed or storing bags/gear.  We are asking everyone to arrive at the ski hill dressed in your gear with boots on ready to ski/snowboard.

LIFT TICKETS

Lift tickets can be purchased on site at the new Exterior Ticket Window located at the front of the Ski Patrol building.

SEASON PASS HOLDERS

All Season Pass holders will be required to sign in upon arrival at hill the for contact tracing located at the hill side of the Ski Patrol building.

RENTAL SHOP

The rental shop will now be limited to 1 – 2 customers at a time in order to maintain proper social distancing.  The rental shop line up will be located on the exterior of the building. Blank rental forms will be available for guests to fill out while waiting in line.

LODGE

Capacity in the lodge will be reduced to 30 people at a time to maintain social distancing with limited time usage for food services and washroom usage.  We will require that face masks are worn any time you are not seated at your table.  Additional outdoor seating will be provided to accommodate the limited seating in the lodge.  Bears will also be offering a takeout option to help reduce the lodge capacity.

RIDING THE LIFT

All skiers and snowboarders will be required to ride the T-bar alone except if they traveled to the hill with and are skiing with someone from in their bubble.

SKI SCHOOL

All Ski/Snowboard lessons need to be booked in advance as lessons will be now limited to 2 students.
